Shark Fruit Salad

Shark Fruit Salad
For our brother's high school graduation party this summer we needed a fruit salad, but wanted a way to make it fun and exciting.  We found this idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a try!

Ingredients
1 large, oblong watermelon
2 blueberries
Assorted fruits

1. Cut off 1/3 of the watermelon on a diagonal line to form the base so that the watermelon can sit flat on a plate.
2. Use a dry erase marker to determine where the mouth will be.  When satisfied, cut along this line.
3. Dry a straight line about 1/2 inch away from where you cut.  Cut in diagonal lines to form the teeth.
4. Using a sharp paring knife, peel the watermelon skin from the teeth, leaving the white underneath.
5. Pierce 2 blueberries with toothpicks and place them to form the eyes.
6. Cut the part that was removed to form the mouth into a triangular shape and attach to the back of the watermelon with toothpicks.
7. Cut up and combine the assorted fruit together in a separate bowl.  We used blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, and pineapple.
8. Put the mixed fruit in the shark's mouth.
9. Top off with some Swedish Fish for humor :P

This was super easy to make and looked awesome!  A great way to serve fruit salad in an original and exciting way!
