Rice Krispie Cake

 Rice Krispie Cake
We love Rice Krispie Treats. So why not make a CAKE out of them?!? RIGHT?!? We made a giant Rice Krispie Treat and decorated it in chocolate and sprinkles for an egg-shaped cake that fit the occasion quite perfectly!

Ingredients
7 cups mini marshmallows
7 cups Rice Krispies
1 small bag of white chocolate melting pieces

1. In a large pot over the stove with heat on medium-low, pour the marshmallows in and stir until they begin to melt.
2. Pour in the Rice Krispies and stir continuously making SURE to flip the pieces on the bottom around all the time so they don't get burnt!
3. When marshmallows are completely melted and mixed into the Rice Krispies, spray Pam (or whatever you use) onto your hands and a piece of tin foil and lay the mixture onto the sheet.
4. Shape however you like! We made it into an egg, of course, because we served it at our Easter brunch
5. Melt chocolate in microwave. Set for ~2 minutes and take out every 30 seconds to stir. We put a couple drops of food dye in each mixture before we put it in the microwave.
6. Decorate! Let the chocolate harden before serving.

This was a huge hit. The cake ended up being about a foot long. Everyone loves the simple dessert of Rice Krispie Treats!! We served it on a platter with a knife for people to cut in and make whatever sized treat they'd like! If we weren't so set on having colored chocolate, it would have been preferable to use regular milk chocolate over white chocolate, just because it tastes better. But this was yummy and adorable!

 Happy Easter!
