M&C's Jalapeno Shots

Jalapeno Shots
These little shots of spice were our twist on the traditional party snack, finger food jalapeno poppers!

Ingredients
2 packages of filo shells (30 shells total)
1 block of cream cheese
4 jalapeno peppers
Handful of chopped chives

1. Slice the jalapenos, HAMBURGER style (as opposed to hotdog)! To make them not incredibly spicy, deseed the peppers (this is what we did and the final product was still pretty spicy). Place the halves on a baking sheet covered in tin foil with the open part facing down. Sprinkle the halves with a tiny bit of salt and olive oil.
2. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes. Broil for 2 minutes or until the peppers are crispy.
3. Take the peppers out of the oven and dice them into small pieces. Put these bits in a medium sized mixing bowl.
4. Put the block of cream cheese into the mixing bowl as well as the chopped chives. Mix everything together.
5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place filo shells on the sheet and spoon your mixture into each shell. The filling should make 30 exactly!
6. Bake the filled shells at 350º for 5 minutes until the mixture is sizzling and slightly browned.

We love jalapeno poppers, but this version is fun, easy, and clean. And it looks fancier! Definitely a recommended party snack!
