Autumn Pasta Salad

Pasta salad isn't just for summer bbq's anymore!  Enjoy this pasta salad at a fall cook-out or as a yummy side dish!  We found this recipe online, made some of our own changes, and it was a huge hit at our backyard campfire!
Ingredients
1 box elbow macaroni (we used about half of the box)
1 cup mayo
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped apples
1 cup chopped pears
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup craisins
The original recipe also called for 1 cup cooked and chopped chicken and 1/2 cup chopped candied walnuts but we didn't use these ingredients in our's because we have some friends with dietary needs and we wanted everyone to enjoy!
1. Cook, drain, and cool pasta.  Rinse the pasta under cold water to make it cool faster if needed!
2. In a small bowl, combine mayo, maple syrup, vinegar, and salt.  Blend well
3. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, apples, pears, celery, and craisins.
4. Pour the mayo mixture over the pasta and mix together well!  Serve immediately.
If you're not serving immediately (we didn't either!), wait to add the apples and pears so they don't brown and keep the pasta and the mayo mixture separate until right before serving.
This was so yummy and went so fast!  It was really nice to be able to make a dish that is usually just for summer and put a fall twist on it! And it worked awesome with our fall themed bbq!
