Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Pie

Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Pie
It's almost Thanksgiving and it's time for pies!  If your family's like ours, we always have way too much food and a bunch of pies!  We decided to post the pies we made for Thanksgiving this year.
Ingredients
1 pie crust (we used Pillsbury)
1 2/3 cup peanut butter chips
4 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup of milk
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
1 tablespoon cold water
2 tablespoons boiling water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup powered cocoa
1 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Let the pie crust come to room temperature and then roll it out, placing it in the middle of a pie pan.  Make sure to press the crust against the pan.
2. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and bake the crust for 10-12 minutes at 450
-->°.  Let the crust cool before putting anything in it.
3. Melt the peanut butter chips.
4. Beat cream cheese, powered sugar, and 1/3 cup milk in a bowl until smooth.
5. Add melted peanut butter chips to the mixture and beat well.
6. Beat in remaining 2 tablespoons milk.
7. Spread this mixture evenly into the pie crust.
8. Pour the cold water in a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over it.  Let stand for 1 minute-but no longer!
9. Add the boiling water to the gelatin and mix until completely dissolved.  Let this cool slightly, but not for too long or the gelatin will form!
10. Combine the granulated sugar and the cocoa in a different bowl.  Add the whipping cream and vanilla.  Beat at medium speed until stiff.
11. Pour the gelatin into the mixture, and beat until well-blended.
12. Spoon this mixture over the peanut butter layer in the pie crust.
13. Refrigerate the pie for several hours before serving.
This pie is super easy (even though there are a lot of steps!)  We thought that it would be a yummy and different pie to share with our family over Thanksgiving dinner.  Hope you enjoy it too!
