M&C's Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Unfortunately we did not get a good picture of these before everyone helped themselves. We found a recipe for wings in Caitlin's Digestive Health book, but changed it up because it was complicated and we wanted to make it a little more interesting than healthy! Though it's still very healthy. Just spicier. We also halved the recipe because it was just for us five.

Ingredients
1 pound of chicken wings
1/2 tablespoon butter
1/8 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
salt, red, white, ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

1. In a small bowl, melt butter and add honey, lemon juice, rind, and garlic
2. In a baking pan dust the wings with salt and the three different kinds of pepper
3. Put the wings in a gallon ziplock bag with the mix and shake a lot. We had fun tossing the bag back and forth across the kitchen.
4. Put the wings back into the baking pan and put in the oven at 350ºF for 30-40 minutes or until browned

We LOVED these. Caitlin isn't supposed to have buffalo sauce because of her health issues so this sweet alternative was a great substitute! We had these as an appetizer before dinner, but double the recipe for an awesome game-day or party appetizer with friends. The family couldn't get enough and we wished we doubled it just for the five of us! It was so good!
